In this years "Hotel Investment-Ranking 2006" report the internationally recognized management consulting company TREUGAST gave a detailed assessment on Albeck & Zehden Hotels:
"In contrast to the general trend, Albeck & Zehden was able to increase its average rate by 3.8 % and occupancy by 3.3 %. This is a very positive achievement, particularly bearing in mind the problematic nature of many of its locations. In the opinion of the analysts, this steady performance is primarily attributable to a highly professional sales policy which is constantly being adapted to the developments of the market, and also to regular investments in hardware.
However, not all hotels were able to meet their budget targets. Above all in Berlin there was a struggle against overcapacity on the market.
With operations under a management contract and a refurbishment agreement coming to an end, Schloss Herrenstein in Brandenburg and the Quality Hotel Weimar no longer contributed to the turnover, and as a result this declined from EUR 55.17 million to EUR 50.56 million. However, on the other hand it was possible to reach a long-term agreement for the Hotel Am Zoo and to finalise a long-term extension for the Waldhotel Stephanshöhe. The objective continues to be the optimisation of costs and marketing as well as the long-term integration of the existing operations. Albeck & Zehden continues to be a definite Blue Chip.
Evaluation: A"
